Sport Canterbury came to us with a challenge at the end of 2018, to work out how to fit their expanding team into the spaces at Nga Puna Wai, that were under construction at the time. We worked together with them to provide an overview and 3D visual plans to work out how to maximise the space. We worked on selecting and recommending furniture for the spaces, including electric height-adjustable desks with soft wiring to manage cabling underneath, matching drawer units and screens to compliment. The chairs selected were an ergonomic three-lever mesh back with a red seat for that pop of branding colour, and then custom made push-to-open storage planters to compliment the desking. A ply edge trim was selected to bring in more natural colours and specified by the client to tie back to when the grounds were used as a meeting location by the local Māori.
