Creative design and fitout of the post graduate space for Lincoln University. Development of custom soft seating and small worktables, together with taller tables and seating. One challenge that we had to cover come was some structural pillars which were a bit of an obstacle and eyesore. Inspiration was drawn from the Canterbury planes to bring elements of the local countryside to the interiors. One image featured Canterbury high country with a river flowing through which worked along the angle of the supporting beam bringing a juxtaposition of industrial and nature. The other brought the agriculture elements to the room featuring some silos which tied in with hues of the bench tops. The images also helped to integrate nature within the space with pops of colour to represent the wildflowers in the custom soft seating.
